Last Updated: 20 May 2025 | Effective: 20 May 2025
1. Introduction
Chronovault operates from 305 Silom Road, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand. As the data controller for information collected through this site and our workshop intake process, we take our responsibilities under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA) seriously.
This policy applies to personal data collected via our website contact form and any direct correspondence submitted by email or in person at the workshop. It does not cover the privacy practices of third-party websites that may be linked from our pages.
2. Data We Collect
We collect only the personal information needed to respond to enquiries and carry out our services. This may include:
- Name — to address correspondence and identify watch intake records.
- Email address — for replies and service updates.
- Telephone number (if provided) — for time-sensitive communication about a watch in service.
- Message content — details of the watch or service enquiry submitted via our contact form.
- Website usage data — collected via analytics cookies, where consent is given.
We collect data directly from you when you submit our contact form, send an email, or bring a watch to the workshop in person. We do not purchase, rent, or otherwise obtain personal data from third parties.
Legal Basis for Processing
Under the PDPA, we process your personal data on the basis of: (a) your consent where given, (b) performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps at your request, and (c) our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services.
Retention
Enquiry data is retained for up to 24 months from last contact. Workshop intake records are retained for five years to support any follow-up service enquiries. You may request deletion at any time.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To respond to your enquiry or provide information about our services.
- To manage your watch's intake record, service progress, and return.
- To send service-related updates (not marketing communications, unless separately consented to).
- To understand how the website is used and improve its content, using anonymised analytics data.
We do not sell, trade, or share personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Where we use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), data is processed under the terms of those services.
4. Data Protection Measures
We take reasonable precautions to protect personal data from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. These include:
- HTTPS encryption for all data submitted via the website.
- Access to personal data limited to staff who need it for service delivery.
- Workshop intake records held in a locked, access-controlled system.
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and, where required by the PDPA, the relevant authority within the required timeframe.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to support basic website functionality and, where consent is given, to understand how the site is used. Details of the specific cookies used and how to manage your preferences are set out in our Cookie Policy.
6. Your Rights
Under Thailand's PDPA, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
- Right to access — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — you may ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — you may request deletion of your data, subject to any legal retention obligations.
- Right to data portability — you may request your data in a commonly used format.
- Right to object — you may object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is consent-based, you may withdraw at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee.
