How We Handle Each Piece
Every watch arrives at the same starting point: an intake log. Before any service work begins, the piece is assessed, its condition noted in writing, and a service scope is confirmed with the owner. Nothing is done without that step.
Where parts need replacing, we work to source components appropriate to the movement — manufacturer-equivalent where original parts are unavailable, or period-correct sourcing for vintage calibres. We do not use generic substitutes when better options exist.
The pace of the work is set by the work itself, not by a target queue. Timing regulation is done on a calibrated machine, and each serviced movement is checked before and after casing to verify the result.
For archive-grade overhauls, a staged photographic file is assembled alongside the work and returned to the owner with the piece. The timeline for each service is communicated on intake, and updated if something unexpected is found.
Standard Bench Service

Suited to owners seeking steady performance from a regularly worn piece. Includes a condition note, gasket review, and a function check across the watch's complications.

Exterior Restoration

Standards Applied Across All Services
Secure Handling
Every piece is stored in a secure, access-controlled area from intake through to collection. No watch is left unattended in an open workshop space.
Calibrated Timing Equipment
All timing regulation is carried out on a calibrated timing machine. Results are recorded before and after service.
Pressure Testing
Where seals are replaced, a water resistance pressure test is carried out to verify the result before the watch is returned.
Scope Agreed Before Work Begins
No work is carried out without the owner's agreement. If the assessment reveals additional needs, we contact you before proceeding.
Appropriate Lubricants
Movement lubricants are selected to match the specific tolerances and operating conditions of each calibre, not applied generically.
Written Service Record
Every watch is returned with a written record noting the condition on arrival, the work done, and the timing results. This belongs to the owner.
